Small amount of desired yarn in pumpkin and stem color
DPNs one size smaller than recommended for the yarn
CO = Cast On
FB = Front and Back
PSSO = Pass Slipped Stitch Over
SL = Slip Stitch
BO = Bind Off
CO 9 with pumpkin color, join to form a ring being careful not to twist stitches.
1. K around. (9)
2. [K 1 FB] around. (18)
3. K around. (18)
4. [K 1 FB, P 1] around. (27)
5. [K 2, P 1] around. (27)
6. [K I FB, K 1, P 1] around. (36)
7. [K 3, P 1] around. (36)
8. [K 1 FB, K 2, P 1] around. (45)
9. [K 4, P 1] around. (45)
10. [K 1 FB, K 3, P 1] around. (54)
11. [K 5, P 1] around. (54)
Repeat round 11 for a total of 5 times for the small pumpkin, or 10 times for the medium pumpkin, or 15 times for the large pumpkin.

Weave in all ends except the bottom cast on tail. Stuff the pumpkin through the bottom opening, shaping the pumpkin as desired. Sew the bottom opening closed and weave in ends. Decorate as desired.
